I enjoyed The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison because her style of writing was so different that intrigued me so much into the book once I hit the middle of it. Her descriptions were well written that I was able to visually see in my mind what she wanted me to see. She is so good in writing her point of view straight across through showing and not telling which as a writer is something hard to do and I think its a technique that she has to be able to do it really well. As a reader I learned a lot during the book how we as people see each other in many different point of views and how some people are more dominant than others. This book had many deep quotes that really made myself think about not only myself on how I may see things and behave with people that surround me and my life but life in general because we as humans are all sharing one air, one planet.
I give this book a four star rating because of her talented writing skills and the topic of her story and even though I did enjoy reading the book it was not the type of book I would have probably read outside of school.
